The Narangba Valley AFL Developmental Academy is a program for students to excel in the field of Australian Rules Football. The AFL Developmental Academy is an elective subject which incorporates theoretical, skill and game development of Australian Football.
The program is closely linked to Health and Physical Education Essential Learnings with students completing four comprehensive terms of AFL, through years 7, 8, 9 and 10. Students then have an opportunity in years 11 and 12 to enrol in a Certificate II and Certificate III in Sport and Recreation, integrated in Australian football. This program will see them graduate with two nationally recognised qualifications and give them valuable experience and job ready skills in the sport and recreation industry.
The Narangba Valley AFL Developmental Academy is fully supported by AFL Queensland, which helps develop pathways for our students to begin a more formal involvement in AFL and other Physical/Recreational career pathways.
