Developed by a world leading educator, Dr Robert Marzano, The Art and Science of Teaching is described as a comprehensive framework for effective instruction.
By using this model, teachers at Narangba Valley State High School have a common language with which to discuss and review their classroom practice and a set of instructional strategies they can use in the classroom.
Students also benefit from the use of ASOT due to consistent practices across classrooms. When students are made aware of common teaching practices this is found to improve student learning and outcomes.
