Open to students learning brass instruments and percussion, Brass Band provides a specialised performance opportunity that sets NVSHS apart from many other schools. The ensemble incorporates a wider variety of brass instruments, allowing students to experience the rich tonal colours and traditions unique to the brass band genre.
Through focused rehearsals and high-level repertoire, students refine tone quality, blend, precision and musical interpretation. Brass Band has achieved significant success, winning the Queensland State Brass Band Championship title on multiple occasions and representing the school with pride and excellence.
