Students in Years 7-12 are invited to audition for lead and ensemble roles, where they sing, dance and act in a fully staged theatrical production. This professional-standard experience allows students to refine their performance skills while building confidence, collaboration and stagecraft.
A live band, selected by invitation from the Music Department, performs alongside the cast, providing authentic performance experience for our instrumentalists.
Beyond the stage, students play an integral role in Backstage and Front of House crews. This provides valuable industry-aligned experience, particularly for students completing the Certificate III in Live Production and Technical Services. Students are involved in planning and operating lighting and sound cues, managing costumes and props, and preparing staging and set elements. Visual Art students also contribute creatively through the design and construction of props and sets.
Participation in the School Musical requires strong commitment, teamwork and professionalism, with rehearsals and production schedules running beyond school hours.
