As the senior counterpart to String Orchestra, Chamber Strings performs more technically and musically demanding repertoire, requiring advanced tone control, precision, stylistic awareness and ensemble sensitivity.
The ensemble includes violin, viola, cello and double bass, with membership typically offered to experienced students enrolled in the Instrumental Music program. Students engage with a diverse range of repertoire, developing independence, leadership and nuanced ensemble communication.
Chamber Strings performs at major school events and selected external performances, representing NVSHS with professionalism, artistry and excellence.
