As the foundational string ensemble at NVSHS, String Orchestra performs accessible and developmentally appropriate repertoire designed to strengthen tone production, intonation, bowing technique and ensemble cohesion.
The ensemble includes violin, viola, cello and double bass, and all members must be enrolled in the school's Instrumental Music program.
Through regular rehearsals and performances, students build confidence, refine technical skills and develop a strong understanding of balance, blend and stylistic interpretation within a collaborative string setting.
